Guy Savoy
The Michelin-starred chef who signs the menus of Paradis Latin
Guy Savoy, triple Michelin-starred chef, ambassador of French fine dining in France and further afield, and named “the best restaurant in the world”, has been creating the menus of Paradis Latin since January 2020. Our restaurant is in the tradition of French gastronomy, and has acquired a great reputation over the years which Guy Savoy perpetuates with some brio. The menus that he has created for our lunch-show and dinner-show will draw you into the prestigious and poetic world of cabaret.
Guy Savoy, Michelin-starred chef of the “best restaurant in the world”
Guy Savoy is the son of a gardener and a taproom owner. He started cooking at an early age. At the age of 16, he began his career as a chocolatier with Louis Marchand in Bourgoin-Jallieu. After an apprenticeship with the Troisgros brothers in Roanne, he had multiple experiences: at the restaurant Lasserre in Paris, at the Lion d’Or in Geneva and at the Oasis in La Napoule.
In 1977, Guy Savoy succeeded Bernard Loiseau as a chef at the restaurant Barrière de Clichy. Three years later, he opened his own restaurant in Paris. After a year of opening, he gained his first Michelin star, and then a second in 1985. In 1987, he moved and founded the restaurant Guy Savoy, in the 17th arrondissement near the Champs-Élysées, for which he received his third Michelin star in 2002.
In 2020, his main restaurant Guy Savoy, now located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, was named “the best restaurant in the world” for the fourth year in a row. He is also chef of the replica of Guy Savoy restaurant at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and of the Atelier Maître Albert, the Supu Ramen and the Chiberta in Paris.
Chosen by Walter Butler, the owner of Paradis Latin, he has also been creating the menus of the mythical cabaret since January 1, 2020.
A new adventure for Guy Savoy at the Paradis Latin
Walter Butler keeps unforgettable memories of Guy Savoy, because he used to go at his restaurant, with his parents, to celebrate special events. The French chef was therefore a natural choice for Walter Butler. According to him, Guy Savoy is “a craftsman concerned about details and a poet of the kitchen”. The menus created by Guy Savoy for the Paradis Latin are composed of tasty dishes that evolve with the seasons. The Michelin-starred chef has created menus that are elegant and authentic, noble and accessible, refined and generous.
Experience the cuisine thought by Guy Savoy in Paris, at Paradis Latin
To experience or (re)experience the cuisine thought by Guy Savoy, you may go to Paradis Latin. You may choose from a lunch-show or a dinner-show to enjoy this explosion of flavors.
The alliance between our cabaret and Guy Savoy is in harmony with the spirit of our place: it has given rise to tasty, accessible dishes. If the French art of living remains the primary source of inspiration, each starter, main course and dessert is an implied reference to the show. They are accompanied by a good wine cellar.
